GAMPER Launches International Masterclass on Advanced SBRT & SRS for LMIC Professionals

The Global Alliance for Medical Physics Education and Research (GAMPER), in collaboration with Global Health Catalyst (GHC), Global Oncology University (GO-U), and BeamHub.org, is pleased to announce the launch of the GAMPER Masterclass on Advanced SBRT & SRS: From Physics to Clinical Practice, an international online training programme scheduled from August to November 2026.

This comprehensive educational initiative has been developed to address the growing need for specialized training in Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), where access to advanced radiotherapy education and trained medical physics professionals remains limited.

The programme is designed for medical physicists, radiation oncologists, radiotherapy professionals, and postgraduate trainees seeking structured education in stereotactic radiotherapy. Delivered entirely online, the masterclass will provide participants worldwide with equitable access to internationally benchmarked training regardless of geographic or institutional limitations.

The course will include 16 live interactive sessions led by renowned international experts. The curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical clinical implementation, covering areas such as radiobiology, dosimetry, simulation, contouring, treatment planning and optimisation, motion management, image guidance, plan evaluation, patient-specific quality assurance (PSQA), and stereotactic treatment delivery.

A unique feature of the programme is its integration of four live practical TPS demonstration sessions, where participants will receive real-time instruction in contouring, beam arrangement, optimisation, DVH analysis, treatment plan evaluation, and QA verification. The programme also incorporates case-based discussions, workflow demonstrations, polling, interactive Q&A sessions, and structured participant assessment to ensure measurable learning outcomes.

The programme accreditation process is currently ongoing.
