Mission

The mission of the Global Alliance for Medical Physics Education and Research (GAMPER) is to:

Focus on Education and Training for Developing Countries:

Enhance the accessibility and quality of medical physics education in developing countries by developing standardized curricula, establishing residency and certification programs, organizing workshops and training sessions, and providing continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities to address the shortage of skilled medical physicists.

Promote Collaborative Research Between Developed and Developing Countries:

Facilitate collaborative research initiatives between institutions and professionals in developed and developing countries. GAMPER aims to create a platform for sharing knowledge, resources, and innovative technologies to advance medical physics research globally, with a focus on addressing region-specific healthcare challenges in resource-limited settings.

Foster Global Collaboration and Partnerships:

Unite medical physics professionals, educators, researchers, and institutions from across the world to promote knowledge-sharing, exchange ideas, and develop joint projects. GAMPER emphasizes building sustainable partnerships between developed and developing countries to ensure equitable access to advanced medical physics education and healthcare technologies.

Strengthen Capacity Building and Human Resource Development:

Provide mentorship, scholarships, and networking opportunities to support the professional growth of medical physicists in developing countries. GAMPER focuses on building local capacity through training programs and creating leadership opportunities to empower medical physicists in resource-limited regions.

Support the Implementation of Best Practices and Standards:

Collaborate with international organizations, regulatory bodies, and healthcare institutions to develop and promote guidelines, standards, and best practices in medical physics. GAMPER aims to improve the quality of patient care and safety by ensuring that medical physicists in developing countries adhere to globally accepted practices.

Address Global Healthcare Inequities:

Advocate for equitable access to advanced medical physics education, research facilities, and healthcare technologies in developing countries. GAMPER works to address healthcare disparities by focusing on improving radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, and nuclear medicine services in resource-constrained regions.

Vision

To empower medical physicists globally through education, research, and collaboration, with a focus on advancing healthcare in developing countries and promoting equitable access to medical physics innovations and best practices.
